Discover 3 main districts in the city. Highlights of the old town with Wawel – the seat of polish kings as well as the medieval city with impressive medieval walls. Jewish district called Kazimierz – home for Jews for many centuries. Podgorze, the third important district was a place where Nazi’s created Jewish ghetto during Warld War 2. The tour will also include the trail of the Spilberg’s movie – Schindler’s list.
Cracow was established in 1257. It became a royal city in 14th century. Most of the polish kings ruled from Wawel castle hill until the beginning of 17th century when the capital was moved to Warsaw. Cracow was not destroyed during World War Second. Why? Ask during the tour.

Jews have been part of the city from the medieval time, when they started to come to Poland . Kazimierz, Jewish city, was established in the 14th century by the polish king Kazimierz the Great. In Krakow there was one of the biggest Jewish communities in Poland before the World War Second. Holocaust was a catastrophe for the polish citizens who were Jews. In Krakow most of the Jews were unfortunately killed.
During World War Two Nazi’s built separate places for the Jews – ghetto. Ghetto was located in Podgorze on the other side of the river. In Podgórze you can find Oskar Schindler’s Factory. The history of Schindler was filmed by Steven Spilberg. The movie was shot in Cracow.
